Accessibility has always been a fundamental principle in my professional life. I became an audiobook narrator and engineer after a career with two nonprofit organizations serving the visually impaired community: Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation and the Connecticut Radio Information System (CRIS).
I became skilled with presenting live, with reading stories on the microphone, and with engineering audio files. I also had the privilege of creating an audiobook club for students in kindergarten through grade 12 who struggle to read as well as a braille audiobook club for the Connecticut Bureau of Education and Services for the Blind. Currently, I serve as a volunteer guide and board member with the Connecticut Chapter of Achilles International. And, along with my narration work, I am an audiobook engineer for Pink Flamingo Productions and a consultant at CRIS Radio.
In a nutshell I am a dedicated advocate for visually impaired communities, children’s literacy, and fitness for all bodies.
I’m also a wife, the mother of two incredible human beans, and an animal lover.
Out of the booth, I teach spin classes, and enjoy the outdoors cycling , hiking, and kayaking. Walking the woods with my dogs, dancing (albeit horribly) and singing off-key are daily musts!
Mindfulness meditation keeps me sane. Chocolate makes me smile.
